Commercial Producers Ireland (CPI) is committed to the continued development and success of the vibrant advertising film industry in Ireland. An important factor in sustaining the professional, high quality work that we do, is to encourage a continuous pipeline of new talent, on all levels, in all disciplines, into the industry.
The CPI is here to encourage and assist those, from the experienced to the new entrants, who would like to pursue a career in the commercial sector.
Commercials have a much shorter production life cycle than movies, tv or documentaries, and with that come some benefits:
- It often suits a more balanced personal life.
- It offers the potential for a more part time approach.
- It’s less likely to take you away from home for long periods of time.
- It offers variety in production types.
- It allows you to work with multiple production teams.
- For new entrants, it allows you to experience a diverse range of projects in a shorter time.
Some of the best film talent in the country ‘cut their teeth’ in the commercial sector. It’s a highly creative, challenging and rewarding part of the industry that produces exciting and memorable work to the highest international standards.
The CPI support diversity, equity and inclusion, and is keen to enrich the commercial sector by encouraging meaningful participation from ALL members of the wider community.
Below are some of the key guilds and organisations dealing with different areas of the production landscape. We are working with these and our colleagues across the industry to help crew get started in our engaging and rewarding industry.
We suggest that you reach out to these organisations to pursue your career goals and take the first step into the TV Commercials sector. Or, feel free to contact any of the CPI members on this website to register your interest in working in commercials.
